These magazines are manufactured by Calegalmags as 10 round magazines with our proprietary .458 SOCOM (USGI) green followers. The follower is purposefully designed to work with big bore rounds only. Smaller caliber ammunition is immediately ejected and can not be retained inside the magazine due to the follower design. Minor modification to the magazine body may be required for some end users due to feed ramp and/or projectile tolerances.
Optional Upgrades (subject to availability / photos for images)
-Install Magpul Ranger Plate (rubber pull tab aids in pulling mags out of pouches). Replaces the usgi metal floorplate.
-Install Magpul L Plate (rubber bumper that shields from impact). Replaces the usgi metal floorplate.

The top edges are a bit rough on larger rounds when squeezing in rounds 8-10. Just go easy. Otherwise they cycle and feed just fine.

I’m sure these mags work great if your using 458 socom. I bought them to use in my 50 beowulf. The best that I could use was 7 rds, anymore they would stick up to high and cause a jam. My son tried to use them for his 450 Bushmaster and had the same problem. For now will use them with 7 rds.

I bought two of the .458 socom 10 round mags with ranger plates. Mags are engraved with “10 round .458 socom” on the side, which is nice. Mags did not have a divet cut on the front end typical of socom mags. This cut prevents the large stepped case from catching on the front lip of the mag while feeding. I used a Dremel to match them up to the same cut on my bear creek mag and everything runs fine.
